- -The Institute of Civic Leadership for Women & Girls In Military Families,
The Institute, is a one-year; tuition based Fellowship Program for Women & Girls in Military Families. It services: Women Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, Reservists, and Military Spouses & Dependents (ages 16 + years).
The Institutes goal is to transform the can-do-spirit of service into a post-military spirit for Civic Leadership that benefits the common good of humanity.
The Institute’s Leadership Development Fellowship Program engages and empowers Military Women & Girls to excel in Civic, Business and Community Leadership in their post-military/civilian lives as future Advocates for Women & Girls, Mentors, Business, Community, and Civic Leaders under the guidance of Leadership Team – Vice President & Institute Co-Directors Lorraine Cuff & Michelle Norton, Vice President of The Affiliate Network & West Coast Regional Director Stephanie Baker-Jones.
The highlights of the Leadership Development Fellowship Program includes: 6 months of “Civic Leadership Education” including but not limited to: Board Leadership & Boards Who Lead; Advocacy for the Common Good of Women & Girls; Qualities That Make You A Leader; Philanthropy & Fundraising; Public Policy Matters; Professionally Speaking; Women Veterans In Citizen Leadership; Smart Moves for Women In Charge; Building Strong Brands; and Cyber Savvy. This Leadership Development Fellowship Program embraces a high degree of agility to customize and adapt programming to sustain a cutting posture in civic leadership development. The fellowship program includes a mid-year, weekend Summer Retreat and provides valuable exposure and on-the-job experience of civic leadership in action.
At the end of each year graduation and recognition program. High potential graduating fellows earn opportunities for interviews, referrals and/or appointments into open opportunities for Civic, Community or Business Leadership.
